Mel and I met Dorothy and Reg in Mesa, Arizona where we instantly formed a great friendship. That friendship has grown through the years. I value our talks and laughter - the evenings on the deck and the fantastic breakfasts and dinners. Dorothy really had a
great sense of humor, and I loved to tease her. I laugh when I think about the time she asked me if her hair was okay and I reached over and tousled it. The look on her face was priceless, and we both broke into fits of laughter. Dorothy, your friendship will live on in our hearts forever. You are loved!

Dorothy was my moms special friend. When my parents retired and moved to Rocky Ridge, they ended up living across the street from Reg/ Dorothy. One day in particular we were standing on the driveway and I questioned Dorothy about what she does with herself during the day and it was during that conversation I asked her to be my moms friend. From that day on my mom had a special friendship with Dorothy and not a day will ever go by where I won’t be so thankful to her for taking my mom under her wing. That friendship even took my parents to buying a place in Arizona, where they continued their fun, this is also where my mom was able to see what fantastic dancers Reg and Dorothy were and everytime after a dance she would tell me. Dorothy also introduced my mom into a group of “YAYA Sisters” so I called them and I teased them both about it all the time, Do you burn bras Dorothy with your big hats on and chant? She’d slap my arm and we”d laugh. During this friendship that started in Rocky Ridge my parents moved to Kelowna and Reg/ Dorothy moved to Vulcan. They still remained special friends and winters they reunited in Arizona. A few yrs back both couples went through another change and both sold their places in Arizona but even then their friendship stayed strong. This yr was going to be a big change for my parents for they are moving back to Alberta and there were many people who were excited about and one of those was Dorothy. She couldn’t wait to have my mom back to shop with, do lunches with and go back to the Yaya’s. She will be missed by many but her kindness and love will never be forgotten and will live on in all who loved her. Thank you Dorothy for loving my mom and being her special friend, your time together will always be special and forever treasured!
Love always Heather and Family
I met Dorothy in Sorority and always enjoyed being in her company. Dorothy gave me a life long love of having seasonal dishes, as the seasons change so do my dishes and as the seasons come and go always have thoughts of her. Reg and family so sorry for your loss.
