Obituary of Mora Ann Edwards

Mora Edwards beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the age of 63 years.

Mora was born in Calgary, AB, on July 27, 1958, to Don and Alvena Parker. She married her husband, John Edwards, in May of 1975.

Mora had a passion and a flare for gardening. She was a natural at creating an oasis in any garden space, a trait which will be missed by all. When she was not outside soaking up the sun, she enjoyed interior design, and creating beautiful spaces within her home as well.

Mora enjoyed long walks through the many parks of Calgary, scenic drives through the mountains, and family dinners, especially barbecues.

Mora is survived by her five children and two children-in-law, Amber and Mike, Michael and Meagan, Mandi, Amy, and Tyler; six grandchildren and one grandchild-in-law, Trever and Darian, Victoria, Haily, Alexandra, Nicholas, and Piper; as well as three great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Delilah, and one more on the way. Mora was predeceased by her husband John Edwards, her parents, Don and Alvena, as well as her sister Lynn.

A Memorial Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Calgary Crematorium & Funeral Services, 3219 4 Street NW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 2:00p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date this coming summer. Those attending will be asked to provide valid government identification (with name and date of birth) AND confirm one of the following: (A)Provincial vaccine record with QR code (paper or digital); OR (B)negative COVID test (within 72 hours); or (C)valid medical exemption (signed letter); OR (D)under 12 years of age.
