Obituary of Joanne Carolyn Pay

March 1, 1954 – Toronto, Ontario

January 26, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Joanne (Jo) Pay lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the age of 67 years.

Joanne was a sweet, determined, smart, analytical, organized, and a lifelong learner.  She had many friends, some of whom she loved since she was two years old. Joanne was a free spirit, loving life to the fullest. When her children were young, they would ride their bikes to get ice cream before dinner, who said you can’t have ice cream before dinner.  She loved watching the sunrise, walks, travelling Alberta, Canada and other countries, reading, playing games with family and friends, she always had a smile and a friendly hello for everyone she met.  

Joanne will be loved and missed forever but not forgotten by her husband Tom. She was an adored mother to Carrie Bokser and Rick Pay, son-in-law Stefan Brokser, and she was a proud grandmother to Reese Bokser. Joanne was daughter to Arthur and Dorothy Iamarino, she was the middle sister to Gail, Ellan, Julie and Gina; and she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who she loved dearly.
