Obituary of Leonard Franklin Beecroft

October 15, 1945 – January 26, 2022

Leonard Beecroft passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the age of 76 years.

Len was born in Matsqui (Abbotsford), BC, on October 15, 1945. Growing up, he lived in many places in Canada because his father was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. After graduating from high school, Len attended Sir George Williams University, in Montreal, QC. He then enjoyed a career in computer technology in Edmonton, AB. He married Sherrill Marshall and together they had a son, Brian. Len moved to Calgary, AB after he retired. His hobbies included “tinkering” with computers, reading, writing, and travelling.

Len is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Moss of Gander, NL, and Pearl Beecroft of Calgary, AB. Len is also survived by three nephews, Andrew Moss (Ivy) of Regina, SK, Bryan Moss (Christa Vandermeulen) of Lloydminster, SK, and Stephen Moss (Melanie) of Gander, NL; two nieces, Leslie Moss (Stephen Burden) of St. John’s, NL, and Leanne Moss of St. John’s, NL; two great-nephews, William Moss, and Mason Moss of Gander, NL; and five great-nieces, Genevieve, Annalise, Isabelle, Gabrielle Burden all of St. John’s, NL, and Chloe Moss of Lloydminster, SK.

Len was predeceased by his father Leonard G. Beecroft, and his mother Helen Rae-Arthur; ex-wife Sherrill Marshall, and son Brian Keith Marshall-Beecroft. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
