Rudy was a natural athlete and enjoyed a variety of sports throughout his life such as track & field, basketball, volleyball, hockey, baseball, and golf.  If he wasn’t playing sports, he was watching his children and grandchildren play sports or watching TV sporting events.  We can’t forget to mention that he was a true and proud Calgary Flames fan.  Rudy’s easy-going manner and friendliness enabled him to meet and make friends young and old, wherever he went.  Anyone who knew Rudy would agree that he was special and unique, he wore his heart on his sleeve.  He was respectful, kind, compassionate, and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He could give you the best laughs with his witty humor and smile.

Rudy was the youngest of 9 children to Robert and Rosalyn Breaker. At a young age like his siblings, Rudy worked with the family ranching and farming operations up until his passing. He also helped mom in numerous home improvement, yard and clean-up projects around the homestead. He had the reputation of being a hard worker who was dependable and took pride in any tasks he was given. This carried on into his work careers. Rudy worked as a bus driver for Doore Bussing from 1996 to 2000, before pursuing employment with Siksika Public Works.  In 2017, he changed career path and worked at Siksika Housing until his passing.
