Obituary of Pat McClure

Patrick McClure of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 32 years.

Born in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Patrick was the first child of John and Marian McClure. He was loved from the moment of his birth from all his family, especially those in Northern Ireland.

Always active, Patrick excelled at any sport he tried. Hockey, skiing, and rugby were among his sports of choice. Patrick had a great love of the outdoors. It brought him peace to among nature and some of his favorite memories were hiking in Kananaskis Country with friends.

Graduating University of Calgary in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, he started working for Summit Earth as an environmental engineer. A strong work ethic, passion and dedication for his friends and family and his unfailing ability to be there for others are just some of the things that will be missed most about him.

Patrick is survived by his mother, Marian, brothers, Greg and Roderick, sisters, Lorna and Ellen, as well as their families and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Patrick is predeceased by his father, John and grandparents James and Gwendolyn and Jack and Kathleen. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the home of Ellen McClure (377 Deerview Drive SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2J 6X2.
