Obituary of Norris Lovstad

The family of Norris Lovstad, of Calgary, AB, sadly want to announce his passing on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the age of 93 years, at Carewest George Boyack Lodge.

Norris was born on a farm at Tuberose, in the Horse Butte SK, area on July 7, 1928, to Tarold and Ethel Lovstad.

Norris worked on the Matador Ranch at the Sask. Landing. Later he drove transport trucks for a lot of years. Next, he got his welders certificate, and worked for the City of Calgary, both in maintenance and as a mechanic. He loved animals and gardening.

Besides his loving wife of 70 years, Phyllis (nee Fry) of Calgary, AB; he is survived by his children, Kenneth (Gail) of Calgary, Sharon Nail of Irricana, Leslie, Judy Collard, Dale (Shirley), Lenard (Laura) Roger (Nina) all of Calgary, Brent (Trudy) of Airdrie and Gregory (Jen) of Linden, AB. Norris has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, which he loved very much. He is also survived by his sister Helene Handley of Calgary, and brother Glenn Lovstad of Winnipeg.

Norris was predeceased by his parents, Tarold and Ethel; sister Larre Lipsett formally of Saskatoon; his sister-in-law and beloved wife of brother Glenn, Jerry Lovstad formally of Winnipeg; and son-in-law Roger Nail formally of Calgary.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at here.
