Obituary of Brent Hallett

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Brent is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Linda, daughter Jocelyn (Scott) and grandsons Ben and Finn. He is also survived by his siblings Blair (Karen), Valerie (Ken), Blaine (Bonnie), three nieces, one nephew and numerous cousins. Brent was predeceased by his parents Bill and Margaret Hallett and his nephew Shane.

Brent spent his childhood in Rockyford and Strathmore and attended St John’s. He met Linda while lifeguarding at the Strathmore swimming pool and they both attended U of A. He was a natural in sales and made career moves to Winnipeg and Montreal. His entrepreneurial spirit led Brent and family to move to Calgary where he started his own food brokerage business. With his many contacts Brent achieved great success in the industry and will be truly missed by his friends and associates throughout Canada especially in
Calgary and Thailand. Brent was a loyal friend, the life of the party, who had a big heart and was always ready to lend a helping
hand. A game of golf, a BBQ and a few bevies summed up a perfect day for Brent. His passion for golf, which has been passed onto his grandsons, was matched only by his enjoyment at their winter home in La Paz, Mexico. There were many happy times with family and friends, and everyone was welcome.
 

Brent’s dedicated circle of friends will remember the many special times with “Brently”. We will remember him as he lived, with fun and laughter.

At Brent’s request there will be no funeral service, but friends and family will gather this spring to celebrate Brent’s life. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
