Barbara Arich

Obituary of Barbara Arich

November 26, 1927 - Calgary, Alberta

February 10, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

As the sun was rising on a beautiful day in February, God gently took a Beautiful Soul to Heaven.

Barbara Antonia Ciuffa Arich was a light that will always shine brightly in the lives of the many people who knew her and most especially for those who were so dedicated to her in her last years.

A lifelong Catholic, she praised God for her life, and was able to continue to pray daily with her private “Angels” Angela, Rejitha, Sheeba and Joycy.

Mom’s love of life and for all the people she knew stretched from the kitchen where she created the best homemade spaghetti, lasagna, Stracci and famous pineapple square to gardening, sports, picnics, shopping, dinners out and literally any event you asked her to go to. Countless people enjoyed the benefits of her extreme generosity. She never turned down a request when asked “Barb can you?” Bridal showers, weddings, dinners for family and friends, anytime she was asked, she accommodated with Love. She will also be remembered for her impeccable appearance. She dressed for all occasions, even to go shopping.

She is survived by her family Michael, Patricia, Lee, and Gregory. Grandchildren Jennifer, Tianna, Richard, Diana and Bradley and 8 Great Grandchildren Alessandra, Juliana, Jacob, Michaela, Rome, Kate, Victoria and Brooks.

She was predeceased by the Love of Her Life Victor, and son Grant. She is survived by her sister Angela, sister in law Giovanna. Predeceased by her sister Norma and the brother she adored, Loreto. She leaves behind nieces, nephews and so many others that loved her for who she was. She truly was a friend to all.

I’ll Love You Forever Beautiful Mama. Holding your hand in Heaven.
