Condolences
Dear Anderson Family: I am saddened to hear of the passing of Geri. Please accept my sincere condolences. I worked with Geri in mental health research, and she voluntarily offered to become my mentor for clinical trials. Geri was gracious, warm, and a genuinely beautiful soul. My strongest memory of Geri is her love for her family. We always got to work early and over a quick breakfast, Geri would spend that time talking about life outside of work. With such deep love and pride, she spoke of Gord, Lindsay, and Mark. Geri’s face always lit up with a broad and brilliant smile as she talked about all the family activities. Family clearly meant the world to Geri. Again, my deepest sympathy. – Lisa McGregor

Gord, Lindsay & Mark,
We are very sorry to learn of Geri's passing. We have fond memories of Geri and your family when you lived in Winnipeg. Geri was a wonderful neighbour, always friendly and welcoming. We looked forward to reading her Christmas letter each year and exchanging cards and news of our families. May your memories comfort you during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Gord, Lindsay, Mark and extended family. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel in Geri.
Geri was a kind, caring, thoughtful, strong and generous person, who I will miss. I admire the courage she had shown throughout her final journey. Wishing her peace and comfort.
I would like to share a poem: this poem sums up Geri’s spirit -
SHE IS GONE - Author unknown
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that she shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Gord, Mark and Lindsay we are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. We are filled with wonderful memories of the time we spent with Geri and all of you through cheering together from the sidelines at volleyball and all the opportunities to spend time with you. She will be greatly missed.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Gord, Lindsay and Mark. Geri holds a very dear place in our hearts. We know her energy and cheering from the volleyball bleachers will always be there.

Dear Gord, Lindsay, Mark and all your family...I can't begin to tell you how heartbroken I am to hear of Geri's passing. She and I
go way back....we were little kids together at St. John Cantius church in Winnipeg....and then we worked together in psychiatry at St. Boniface Hospital, also in Winnipeg. Through the years, as she moved to Calgary and I moved to Vancouver, we kept in touch regularly with our faithful annual Christmas cards and in later years on Facebook. Geri was truly one of the kindest and most loving people I will ever know. She had a heart of gold, and she will always hold a very dear place in my heart. Please know that
my thoughts and prayers are with you, as are my tears. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences.
Knowing Geri these past several years was such a privilege. Her energy, dedication and kindness in my BodyPump classes is sorely missed. She will always hold a very dear place in my heart. My deepest and sincerest condolences to Gord, Lindsay, Mark and family.
My sincere condolences go out to Gord, Lindsay and Mark. Geri was one of the most kind and loving people I had the pleasure to know. Her family was always top of mind and I know her spirit will be with you always.
