And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine (Kay) Bowen, beloved mother of Troy and Tammy, on Thursday February 10, 2022 at the age of 73 years. 

Kay was a fun-spirited woman who lived for her time at the lake with family and friends, and of course with her grand pups Chevy and Kobi. She loved travelling with her husband Barry of 52 years, which included many family vacations. Above all else, she spread joy and happiness to everyone around her with her infectious smile and laughter. She was the rock of the family. 

Kay is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Troy and Dawn Bowen; daughter Tammy Bowen; brother-in-law Ed Bowen; sister Pat Mussig; nieces and nephews, Laurie (Marc) Peloquin, Ted (Nicole) Bowen, Shelley (Bruce) Moulton, Brad (Kelly) Mussig Joel Bowen, and Brandon Bowen; and numerous grandnieces and nephews. Kay is predeceased by her loving husband Barry, her parents George and Betty Boon, her brother Daniel Boon, and parents-in-law Leslie and Mary Bowen.

Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
