Obituary of William (Will) Gow

William Logan Gow of Calgary, AB, left us on February 11, 2022 at 16 years of age. 

Will was born in Calgary on October 22, 2005. By every measure, Will was an incredible young man. He was deeply loyal to his family and friends, and felt a great responsibility of care to those in his midst. Will was selfless in honouring the needs of others before his own.  Will enjoyed time with good friends, yet the love and security he felt at home was evident, and his family always came first. 

Will had a strong creative nature, and loved to spend hours perfecting songs as he played on his guitar. His musical interests ranged broadly from the Beatles to 90s rock. Will also oriented his artistic talents towards creating projects and working with his hands - whether it was designing decals, drawing, or wood working, all of which he took joy in sharing with those closest to him. When Will committed to a task, he had the self-discipline and determination to see it through to the end. 

William was proud of his past service in the Army Cadets, and had aspirations of joining the Canadian Armed Forces in addition to having recently entered the world of professional modelling.  He will be lovingly remembered for his sincerity, gentleness, respectfulness, compassion and devotion to his friends and family, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  

William leaves behind his broken-hearted family: Parents Matthew and Julie, brother Broderick and sister Mackenzie, great-grandmothers Rosa Fiorica and Deanna Columbus, grandparents William Gow Sr., Josie Fiorica (Andrew Middleton), Bob and Connie Denesiuk, uncles Brad Denesiuk, Dave Denesiuk (Kristina), Dan Denesiuk, Steve (Jackie) Gow and little cousin Jacob Gow.  

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Rockpointe Church- Bearspaw (255024 Lochend Road, Calgary) on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Will’s service streamed live on the day of the service at: https://livestream.com/rockpointecalgary/williamgow.
