Condolences
David...Condolences to all the Brown family on the passing of your father/husband/grandfather. I always enjoyed stopping by your family home and talking with your dad. But that took a slight change after you, your dad and I went away for a weekend of hiking. I recall it had something to do with a jar of peanut butter I brought along. I had to take some ribbing over it, as it had been in the cupboard for some period of time, which caused it to stick in your mouth. Fortunately your dad handled it with a good sense of humor.
Sincerely,
Bob Mulholland.
Dear Shirley,
I'm so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I so enjoyed bantering with Alan at Spry exercise classes and I will miss his beautiful smile. I will always treasure his book," An Easy Guide to Canadian Rocky Wildflowers", as it is a delight for me to read, and look at all those beautiful pictures, especially in the middle of winter. He was the "Rose among the Thorns" when we were taking watercolour classes together and he was always so helpful. I am so glad I got to know him, even if it was only in a small way for just a short time. I pray God will be near you and your family, to comfort you, as you grieve your loss of Alan.
Sincerely
Linda Dryden
Shirley and family,
praying that the Lord comforts your hearts and blesses you with treasured memories of Alan in the coming years. I shall always remember his good humor at the SPRY exercises.
Sincere condolences-
Sandy Winkler.
Wayne and I were very sad to hear of Alan's passing.
His sharp, quick wit and sparkling sense of humor, endeared him to us all.
Alan's enjoyment of chatting, joking about and bringing smiles to others was a gift that will be sorely missed by all who knew him or had the pleasure of his company.
His book 'An Easy Guide to Canadian Rockies Wildflowers' is a true remembrance of his photography, his curiosity, his knowledge.
We have all lost a gentleman, a friend, a clever and very intelligent man.
Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you Shirley, David (Deborah), Evelyn (Michael) and his precious, precious grandkids.
He will be sorely missed.
Shirley,
We used to know you people years ago, when Alan and I worked in the financial business. I often wondered since then, how you folks were, and where you were.
We had a lot of good memories together. I lost my wife, Bev a couple of years ago, and life changes, but we must go on.
I always enjoyed my talks with Alan at work. He was a very smart fellow.
My condolences to you and the Family.
Ron Deitz

To Shirley and Family,
Alan was a true inspiration to all of us in our SPRY program (Senior Persons Regaining Youth). Alan's generous abundance of humor was good medicine during our Exercise Classes. The past years have been very trying for Alan and Shirley, yet they faced each battle with courage, and determined strength, never asking for sympathy nor pity.
Alan is a Friend that will have a place in our hearts for many years, and we wish Shirley continued good health and moral courage to carry on Alan's memorable legacy.
Dear Shirley, We are so sorry. Alan was a treasure, an inspiration and had a sense of humour like no other. He touched many lives here in our cul de sac, both with his spirit and his wisdom. May time bring you comfort and peace because those we love always live on in our hearts and memories. Deepest condolences from our hearts to you and your family.
Hugs, Marjorie & Leo Aucoin
Shirley,
I am so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I lost track of you two years ago, but we used to chum around a lot when we worked in the investment industry at the Herman Group and beyond.
I have often wondered how you guys were doing.
I lost Bev a couple of years ago to bad heart, so have lived alone since.
Take care of yourself.
Sincerely,
Ron Deitz
Dear Shirley and family,
So sorry to hear of Alan's passing. May all of the cherished memories you shared together carry you through the days ahead.
Hugs from Brian and Debbie Stahl
Shirley, our hearts go out to you and your family. Alan was such a special individual and a true inspiration. He will be missed by everyone lucky enough to have known him. Alan and I would check out all the fantastic foods at the cul de sac socials and then advise one another about which ones were gluten free. Alan had such a great sense of humour and a positive attitude. He was very knowledgeable about the identity of birds in the area and educated us about some that my sister spotted and were rarely in this area.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
