Obituary of Edward Antonishyn

August 5, 1942 – Ituna, Saskatchewan

February 13, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Edward Antonishyn, beloved husband of Yvonne Antonishyn (Rondeau) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the age of 79 years.

Edward was born in Ituna, Saskatchewan on August 5, 1942. Edward married Yvonne in 1967. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered his time at Hull Family Services.

Edward took great enjoyment in family; whether it be supporting and participating with his wife in her interests at work and home, supporting his children in their life’s ventures and interests, and always being available to listen and respond to family member’s struggles and challenges. He will be most remembered for his dedication to his faith and family.

Besides his loving wife Yvonne, Edward is survived by his two sons Chad and Jason. Edward is also survived by his brothers, Nick Antonishyn, of Calgary, AB; Philip Antonishyn, of Saskatoon, SK; sister, Victoria Spilchak, of Saskatoon, SK; four brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Private Prayers and Tributes Service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

A Private Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Edward’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
