Obituary of Helen Mary Margaret Norton

March 11, 1934 – Grandview, Manitoba

February 14, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Our dear Helen has passed and has left us with many memories of happy times, of giving and sharing, and of singing and laughing. Her love and warmth will be with us always.

Helen grew up in Hamiota, MB, with her parents Sandy and Mary, and her twin brothers Harold and Alex. Helen chose nursing as her profession, where she became a champion for sick children and a warrior for the rights of differently-abled children and young adults.

Helen is remembered by her husband Bob (R.E.) Norton, Jane Wills, Jessie Wills and Cody Champagne; Susan Norton and Gary Stefko; John Norton and Dee Bates; as well as Carol Norton and Nicole Bechard. Helen is also held dear by Beth and Harry Kope and their children and grandchildren; Jennifer and Daryl Smith and their children and grandchildren; Jonathan and Michelle Cummings and their children; Kathy and Jay Winfield; Sandy and Doreen Cummings and their children; plus an abundance of loving cousins and dear friends. She is predeceased by Alexander and Mary (Webb) Cummings; Harold and Lois (Grant) Cummings; Alex and Kaye (Shapter) Cummings; Jim (J.W.) Norton, and her chosen daughter, Louise Nelson.

A Celebration of Helen’s life will be held at the Good Shepherd Moravian Church, (6311 Norfolk Drive N.W., Calgary, AB T2K 5J8)  on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 1 p.m.
