Obituary of Frederick Jaeger

December 14, 1930 - Montreal, Quebec

February 20, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Tom Jaeger beloved husband of Patricia Jaeger (nee Parbery) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the age of 91 years.

Tom was born in Montreal, QC on December 14, 1930. He graduated from the Montreal Technical Institute with a degree in Electonics II and worked at Eutectic-Castolin for most of his career. Tom married Patricia on April 27, 1957 in Montreal. He was a member of the American Society for Metals and volunteered with The Calgary Children’s Cottage, and the City of Calgary Rental Board. Tom enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, skiing, biking, travelling, and reading. He will be most remembered for his kindness and dedication to his wife and family.

Besides his loving wife, Tom is survived by his son David Albert Jaeger, his two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Jaeger (Kim Freeborn) and Carol Ann (Randy) Taman; his six grandchildren, Calvin Taman, Destiny Taman, Georgina Halfkenny, Erin Jaeger-Freeborn, Andrew Jaeger-Freeborn, and Gavin Jaeger-Freeborn; and four great-grandchildren, Johan Manywounds, Grace Taman, Erica Kirky and Ivy Taman. He is also survived by his niece Cheryl Storrs; nephews, Roger Jaeger jr., Rodney Jaeger, Deane Pittman, Scott Pittman, Martin Kearney and Richard Kearney.

Tom was predeceased by mother Edith Annie Wareham, father Albert Jaeger, grandchild Justin Taman; three brothers, Albert Jaeger, Wilfred Jaeger, Roger Jaeger; and two sisters, Rose Mary Jaeger and Alice Kearney.
