Scott Clendening of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the age of 47 years.

Scott was born in Edmonton, AB on June 28, 1974. He spent the first fifteen years of his life in Grande Prairie, AB. He moved with his family to Sherwood Park in 1990. Scott graduated from Bev Facey High School in Sherwood Park, AB in 1993. He attended College for two years in Edmonton, AB. He served many roles at Partition Systems in Sherwood Park as a part time employee. Scott was a member of the Cub Scouts and volunteered with The Salvation Army where he excelled as a valued fundraiser over a span of 32 years. Scott accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his ability to go horseback riding, skiing, and his lifelong interest in personal physical fitness.

Scott enjoyed music, hockey, good movies, and loved anything that came from Boston Pizza. His most memorable vacations were in Hawaii with his family and in Las Vegas with his friends. He will be most remembered for his positive attitude, quirky sense of humour, and his infectious smile.

Scott is survived by his mother Ruth Clendening Taylor and her husband Don Taylor of Calgary, AB; his brother David Clendening of Edmonton, AB; and his nephew Rowan Clendening of Edmonton. Scott is also survived by his favourite caregiver Connie Preston, aunts, uncles, and cousins of Saskatchewan, and British Columbia; as well as his best buddy Frank Delugt. Scott was predeceased by his father John Wesley (Jack) Clendening, his uncle Bill Clendening, his paternal grandparents, Wesley and Jessica Clendening, his maternal grandparents, George and Elsie Morhart; and several beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held at a later date.
