Obituary of Shirley Margaret Wiebe

November 9, 1940 – Gladstone, Manitoba

February 26, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Shirley Margaret Wiebe, beloved wife of Henry Wiebe, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the age of 81 years.

Shirley accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her family, especially the grandkids!

Shirley enjoyed serving others, especially cooking a grand meal for the ones she loved. It was her way of giving and loving that she enjoyed immensely.  She wouldn’t let you leave the table without forcing seconds on you.

Shirley’s most memorable vacations were her trips to Hawaii, and Las Vegas numerous times.  Her last trip was to Las Vegas with her daughter and two of her grandsons.

She will be most remembered for her strength, infectious laughter and just her overall sweet nature and kindness.

Besides her loving husband, Shirley is survived by her daughter Shelly Lynn Eder of Calgary, AB; son and daughter-in-law, Darryl Jeffrey Wiebe and Genna Larino-Wiebe of Calgary, AB; five grandchildren, Justin Michael Eder, Kevin Matthew Eder, Skylar Rae Wiebe, Gage Daniel Wiebe, and Dane Garrick Wiebe; and great-grandchild, Malikai DayVell Colley. Shirley is also survived by her brother John Dyck and sister, Marianne Dalke; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents Helena and Henry Dyck; brothers, Henry Dyck, Jake Dyck, and Donald Dyck; and sisters Helen Dyck, and Betty Giesbrecht.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
