Condolences
Pauline, I can’t believe you have left us but what beautiful memories you have left your family and friends. You were a very special lady and it was a joy having you at Cedarwood. I was lucky enough to taste your soups and perogies. You always shared the curling schedule with all of us so none of us would miss the games. I believe it was about 2 years ago that you and your daughter won the 50/50 jackpot on the games. It was wonderful that all your family could get together and cook. You told me some wonderful stories. I often think of you but now you will be seeing your family and friends and you will see Thelma and watch curling. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Take care. Linda Paynter
Our world is not especially good at recognising the value of quiet kindness and unassuming service to family and the community but that was your hallmark Pauline and your family and friends the grateful recipients.
I hope you would sit back at your family gathering sometimes, watching the chatter and interactions between them all and take a moment to marvel at what you and Nick had started! What a lively throng they are with you, their matriarch, at the heart of it all.
It’s a beautiful family you have left as your legacy to the world. Each of your children so different, each with their own talents and strengths. It’s a testament to your values that they enjoy spending time together as often as they can and that they all, especially your daughters, have cared for you so lovingly over your final years. You raised a bunch of good people Pauline who know how to work together. That’s no small thing.
Thank you for your kindness to me, the sparkling glint in your eye when we would meet and for the funny, quietly told stories you shared. Thank you for welcoming me into you house when I was a travelling teenager, for teaching me the traditional recipes of Ukrainian Christmas and how to enjoy the earthy flavour of borscht. Thank you so much for your service to your community and for the beautiful, enormous family you leave behind.
You will be fondly and often remembered by all of us.
I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with you and your family, Debi. Your mom was so caring and thoughtful. It amazed me how she kept everything under control with such a big family. Sympathies to you and your family. Hugs to all.
Bless you all family
Your mama was a wonderful woman.
I recall seeing and chatting to her in her garden, always time to smile to a little person (me) and welcoming me into your home. I am getting hungry just thinking of her bread so delicate almost sweet, and food!!
Many blessings to her on her journey and to you all. What an honour to have such a fine woman in our lives.

When I read the obituary for Aunty Pauline it said she had a warm and caring nature. I thought how very true those words are. She was a woman of grace, a woman of love, a woman of faith. When God created her He added a huge measure of compassion and love into her life. He did so with good reason. Twenty-two grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren plus her own ten children. That’s fifty. Add Aunty Pauline and Uncle Nick you have 52. She was playing with a full deck of cards. The only thing missing was the joker. When you are living with a full deck you need more grace, more love, more of everything.
I knew her as a caring and loving aunt. Many of you knew her as a caring and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, or sister. She filled the lives of us all with her love and compassion. Her warm and caring nature extended to her sisters and brothers, her nieces and nephews.
She has left us now but she has just moved to a new home. She probably has already played a couple rounds of canasta and found a nice patch of mushrooms to pick. And I know God wouldn’t take her home to heaven unless He had the Brier already on there. Who knows, she may even be curling in the Brier up there.
She gifted her children in many ways. Aunty Pauline was a lady of special qualities and she left a remarkable legacy here on earth. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Our love to all, Glenda and Garry Kadyschuk
