Obituary of Kathy Louise Cochran

Kathy Cochran of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the age of 64 years.

Kathy was born in Glendon, Alberta on July 7, 1957.

Kathy accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her engineering capabilities. She was very highly intelligent; she built computers and even built a telescope that could track the stars movements. She designed every part, down to the gears. Kathy has created numerous apps and built a seismograph. She used a 3D printer to create her many inventions.

Kathy enjoyed nature, camping with her spouse Sharon, and their cat Sam. She loved going for walks and bike rides in Fish Creek Park.

Kathy and Sharon were able to retire early on in life and go on many memorable vacations together.

Kathy will be most remembered for her laughter, her positive outlook on life, and how she cared so much about others. Kathy took care of Sharon during her last days and never left her side. She always put others before herself. There were so many amazing memories that we will miss, like our dinners, and fun game nights; there were never ending laughs.

Kathy is survived by her stepson, Mason Dickie and his wife, Justine Dickie, of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, Alyssa Hebert and Leah Hebert of Airdrie, AB.

Kathy was predeceased by her spouse Sharon Dickie.
