Obituary of Kenneth (Ken) Rouse

March 3, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Kenneth Charles Rouse of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the age of 92 years.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Faye and five children, Pam (Mike), Tom (Lynn), Tracey (Curtis), Bev and Sheila; eleven grandchildren, Matt (Sarah), Tyler (Lesli), and Brennan (Kylee), Jillian and Megan (Jeff), Caitlin (Matt), Riley (Arden) and Tanner (Montana), Halley (Dan), Addison and Tarryn; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Cy (Doreen).
Ken was predeceased by his infant daughter, Whitney and his parents, Alan and Ruby Rouse.
Born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Ken was raised in Saskatoon and met his beloved wife Faye in high school at Nutana Collegiate.
Ken was an ambitious and hard-working man who eventually started his own successful insurance business, Rouse Insurance Services, in Saskatoon. He was a great businessman and salesman who looked after his clients, big and small, with the utmost care and attention. After working hard his whole life, he and Faye eventually moved to Calgary and began their retirement years travelling, golfing, and enjoying life.
His family remembers all the happy carefree summers growing up on the lake at Waskesiu, where he owned a cabin for many years. In the winters he enjoyed taking his family skiing to the mountains and doing many vacation adventures. He was a family man, happiest raising his family and he took extreme pride in all of his children. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed.
A private family service was held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB). Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at here. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing staff and all the staff at the Manors Village Rocky Ridge for the kindness and compassion they showed him during his time there.
