Obituary of Richard Berry Hunter

February 25, 2022 – Morley, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Berry Hunter on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the age of 49.

Richard was a passionate, selfless, humorous person. He helped out many people in the community. He was educated in Morley Community Day School. His hobbies included horseback riding, horse whisperer, trainer, wrangler, mechanic, ranch hand, hunting, and carpentry.

Richard is survived by his children, Richie (Vyk), Natasha, Cody, Bodee; stepchildren, Blaine and Steve Baptiste (Candace), and Kiara Salter; grandchildren, Samuel Hansen and Sparrow Hunter; siblings, Vivian Hunter (Peter), Michael Hunter. He leaves behind nephews, Edward, Tyson, Mario; niece Melissa, his cousins, Evelyn House (Jeff), Virginia House, Tina Fox, Brian House, Tater House (Dixie), Colleen Brown (Conrad), Tyrone Hunter (Verna), Clint Hunter (Cindy), Marvin Bigstoney (Jody), Sanford Goodstoney; brother-in-law Clifford Twoyoungmen, mother-in-law Irene Baptiste. We apologize if we have missed anyone. 

He was predeceased by his father Morris Noah, his mother Annie Hunter (1982), Colleen Hunter (1995), grandniece Tanayah Hunter (2021),

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Cochrane, 369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB), on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery (Morley, AB). There will be a take-out meal provided at the residence of Vivian Hunter following the Graveside Service. Due to Covid-19, the family respectfully requests that all attendees wear a mask.  Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
