Obituary of Daniella Rusu

July 19, 1944 – Sibiu, Romania

March 9, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Daniella Adrienne Rusu of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the age of 77 years. 

Daniella was born in Sibiu, Romania on July 19, 1944, and she moved to Canada in 2005, to join her extended family.

Daniella graduated from the University of Medicine and Farmacy of Iasi, Romania with a Medical Doctor degree, and further specialized in Ophthalmology. For most of her professional career, she worked at the Emergency County Hospital of Bacau, Romania.

Daniella married Claudiu in 1971 and a year later she welcomed her daughter who was the most important part of her life.

She left us with beautiful memories, her love is still our guide, although we cannot see her, she is always at our side. Daniella is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cristina and Adrian, and by her grandsons, Andrei, and Philip.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
