Obituary of Walter Louis Lambert Arnold Rozenhart

March 9, 1945 – Geleen, Netherlands

March 13, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Walter “Wally” Rozenhart of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the age of 77 years. Wally is lovingly remembered by his wife Simone, sister Henriette (Howard), brother Rob (Leslie), sons, Pieter (Mo King), Adam (Rachel), and Joshua (Anna); four grandsons, Gilbert, Leonard, Samuel, and Scott. He was predeceased by his sister Arda, and brother Peter.

Wally was born in the Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada with his family in the ’50s. He lived most of his life in Edmonton, where he worked as an entrepreneur, human resources manager, and labour relations specialist. Wally valued education and was proud when he obtained his Executive MBA at the ripe old age of 55. He moved to Calgary in the latter part of his career and retired there with Simone. At his core, Wally loved people. He couldn’t go anywhere without running into someone he knew. He absolutely lived for his kids and grandkids. They brought him so much joy, and he was happy to spend time with them in the days before he passed.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Desirée Hao and the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, and to the staff and volunteers at Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, where Wally spent his last few weeks.
