Obituary of Emiranda Mastroianni

March 10, 1940 – Cleto, Cosenza Italy

March 14, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Emiranda Mastroianni, beloved wife of Rosario Mastroianni of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the age of 82 years. Emiranda married Rosario on December 14, 1958. They immigrated to Canada in May of 1962.

Besides her loving husband, Emiranda is survived by her children, Vincenza (Clint) Hatfield, Sylvana Mastroianni (Dwayne), Marisa (Sean) Lovitt; grandchildren, Terry (Trevor) Wieler, Anthony Hatfield (Janessa), William and Carmela Lovitt; great-grandsons Zachary and Theodore Wieler; her sister Godina (Giovanni) Gallo of Italy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Emiranda was predeceased by her parents, Vincenzo and Carmela Lepore; two sisters, Gina Lepore, and Bonina Marrelli; two brothers, Antonio, and Adolfo Lepore; great-grandson Alexander Wieler; and grandson David Willis.

Emiranda always put her husband and family ahead of herself. Although we are saddened by her loss we take comfort in her faith, with the knowledge that she is with her Savior and predeceased relatives in Heaven.

Emiranda will always be lovingly remembered by the many, many family and friends whose lives she touched.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (15 Templebow Road Northeast, Calgary, AB), on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum (3219 4th Street Northwest, Calgary, AB). Following the Graveside Service, relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family in the “Lower Reception Hall” at St. Thomas More Parish.
