Obituary of Elaine Schultz

January 20, 1945 – Edmonton, Alberta
March 15, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Elaine Schultz  (nee Hannem) of Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the age of 77. Born on January 20,1945 in Edmonton, Elaine spent her formative years growing up in rural Warburg, Alberta. She met her loving late husband, Stanley Schultz, while hitchhiking and they were married soon after in October 1964 in Olds, Alberta. It was there they decided to establish roots and to raise their family.

Elaine worked for AGT, first in Edmonton and then in Cochrane, for several years before marrying and transitioning to homemaker and office manager for Stan’s building construction company. She also proudly owned and operated a textile fabric store in Olds for a number of years.

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her life with Stan, and truly enjoyed hosting family and friends at frequent dinner gatherings, as well as camping, snowmobiling and travelling. She always took the time to celebrate someone’s life milestones and made sure people knew just how special they were to her. The wonderful, cherished memories she created for all her family and friends will never ever be forgotten.

Elaine is survived by her two sons Brian (Sherise) and Curtis (Kathy) of Calgary, Alberta. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren Bradley and Lauren Schultz, and her step-grandchildren Davis and Ben.

Elaine also leaves behind  many nieces and nephews. Elaine was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her mother Marjorie and father Stinus  and her brothers Delmer  and Marvin  Hannem.
