Obituary of Neva Ruth Ralph-Bower

September 9, 1932 - March 22, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Neva Ralph-Bower of Calgary, AB, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Neva was born outside of Wilkie, SK, on September 9, 1932. She loved her time on the farm and had many stories about her three farm dogs and the races she won on her favorite horse. She loved sports and had fond memories of baseball games and track meets at the school across the road from her home. 

At a young age, she met, and subsequently married Reubin (Jupe) Ralph and moved to Calgary. They had one daughter Brenda and settled in Kingsland, the home in which Neva lived until her death. 

While in Calgary, Neva trained as a tailor and worked down the road at Woodwards, Chinook Center. She often helped out friends and family with repair work and sewing projects. She and Jupe loved to travel and she had several photo albums full of memories. Jupe passed away in 1991 and after many adventures on her own, she met and married Ollie in 1996. They both enjoyed golf, bowling, cards, times spent at Legion #285 and travel.

Neva was a warm and loving person, always ready to lend a hand. She had a ready wit and a brilliant smile. The world is less bright without her in it.  She was the kind of person who her stepchildren  were proud to call mom.

Neva is survived by her daughter Brenda; stepsons, Len and Rick; stepdaughters, Judy and Deborah, and grandson Gordon. She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and six great-stepchildren; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Neva was predeceased by her parents, Oliver and Molly, and husbands, Reubin (Jupe) Ralph and Ollen (Ollie) Bower.
