Condolences
Memories of Robert
From Christina Taylor
Hello, my name is Christina Taylor.
I would like to like to share my thoughts, memories and condolences to the Lewin family and Robert’s many friends that he had at Rouleau Manor, during his time there. Robert was my best friend at Rouleau. We talked and shared thoughts and stories all the time and his room was next to mine. He was the perfect neighbor! He was also a favourite of the nurses, and they gave him the nickname “Roberto”. He was especially known for his kindness to all staff who attended to him.
I would push him in his wheelchair for visits outside and back inside, and he and I had hours of fun sitting outside and enjoying the Sun and nice weather, and many hours of chat with him and other people who also lived at Rouleau. We also would order takeaway foods from neighbouring restaurants, and assorted treats from the vending machines. He was most proud of his study of the bible in his days at Rouleau.
I was so sad when he became sick, and I sat by his side and held his hand to comfort him during his final hours of his life, until his passing. My memories of Robert will be with me forever.
Rest In Peace, Robert.
Lovingly, Christina
My name is Dougall Cameron.
I came to know Robert as a fellow resident at Rouleau Manor as my brother resided there also.
I would sit with with them both, and other residents, and chat as they would enjoy sitting outside on nice days.
I most enjoyed discussing CFL Football and especially the fortunes of our Calgary Stampeders..Robert’s face would light up, and we would dissect the games we had both watched. Even after my brother left Rouleau I continued to visit with his dear friend Christina Taylor, and we would chat and laugh together with Robert.
I am so sad that he has passed, I offer my sincere sympathy to his family and friends.
Robert was a gentleman and had a big heart and kind soul. He will be missed by many. Rest well Robert.
Sincerely
Dougall Cameron
My deepest condolences to the Lewin family, my thoughts are with you: Sorry for your loss.
Robert used to lovingly talk about his family his mother, brother Craig, sister Cindy, his Children James and Sarah and his many nephews and nieces. I had known him for almost 4 years; he had known Christ turned his life around tremendously, in the hope of reuniting with his loved ones, however he suddenly became sick and the Lord took him before the wish was fulfilled. It is comforting to know that he is Resting in the Green Meadows where everyone is forgiven, where there is no Sorrow, Pain nor Hate. Robert fought a good fight to the end.
I pray that your Soul finds Peace.
Heather
