Obituary of Trevor Timothy Troy Honoroski

February 13, 1966 – Edmonton, Alberta
March 16, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our son, Trevor Timothy Troy Honoroski at Foothills Hospital on March 16, 2022. Trevor was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in October 2020 and was undergoing treatment as of that time.

We would like to thank all the medical staff at Tom Baker Cancer Centre and Rockyview Hospital, as well as the doctors who attended to him.

Trevor is survived by his mom and dad, Juliana and Harry, his sister Shantell Robillard, and his nephew and niece, Charlie and Jessica Robillard, who called him Uncle Treasure (which he surely was). Trev has numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and BC.

For several years, Trevor worked at Foothills Industrial in manufacturing as a production worker/operator. He endured 12-hour rotating shifts alone with the elements of nature while working in production.

Most recently he was happily employed at the University of Calgary in the caretaking department. This was his favourite and matched him to a T as he was surrounded by people. He would take his breaks at a favourite spot and feed the squirrels and birds. They seemed to relate to him. Trevor also had neighbourhood cats come visit him on the deck at home. They knew what was going on.

Trevor loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed biking along Fish Creek Park.

One of his favourite times was when he attended Camp Yamnuska, when they trekked to the Great Divide and the base of Mount Assiniboine. He enjoyed going to the Highwood Pass on Hwy 40 to enjoy the view of the mountains. Trevor also worked during his summer holidays at the Calgary Stampede. He worked in Food Services with staff and Vendors.  Here he met some very nice people. Trevor enjoyed the atmosphere at the Stampede alot.

Trevor cared about the underprivileged. He could not pass by without offering a donation when he could.

Trevor had his COVID-19 immunization and booster shots and was tested negative.

Trevor related to a biblical passage which states, “He who is without sin among you let him be the one to cast the first stone.” John – ch 8 v.7 KJV.

A private gathering of family and friends by invitation will be held later this year. Trevor was a member of the Calgary Cooperative Memorial Society. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

We miss you dearly, Trevor!!
