Irma Green

Obituary of Irma Green

October 22, 1951 - Vieux Fort, West Indies, St. Lucia

March 23, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse, Irma S. Green (nee John) on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the age of 70 years.

Irma spent her early years into adulthood in St. Lucia (her homeland), where she started her studies to become a nurse. In her later years, she moved to Canada to finish up her studies and became a nurse.  She worked for over 25 years at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Medical Center providing compassionate care to her patients, until she retired in 2021.

Irma loved deeply, was fiercely loyal and a believer in family. Although she was very independent, she never hesitated to help others in need, whether it be a loved one, a patient or a kindred spirit. Evidence of kindness and generosity is demonstrated through an outpouring of love once they heard of her illness.

Irma is survived by her husband Ronald Green, her son Quainton A. John and his two children, Alexis A. John, and Malyk X. John; her daughter and son-in-law, Yolan I. John and Marc R. Williams and their twin sons, Jaxx J. Williams, and Vinn R. Williams. She is also survived by her niece Beverly St. Omer, and godson Aaron Justin St. Omer (AJ).

Irma, although we are sad that you are no longer with us, we celebrate your life and how your presence impacted so many others.  We feel blessed to have been a part of your light. You will be missed, never forgotten, and always loved.
