Condolences
I’m so heartbroken at the announcement of Dave’s death. Dave was a business associate that grew into a personal friend because he cared about people and their lives. Dave was one of the finest men I had a privilege to rub shoulders with. We exchanged our combined knowledge of oil and gas exploration educating we other as we travel western Canada. Dave was the best in all he did, family, friends, business relationships and integrity that was Dave. I now have an empty space in my heart because Dave is gone from this earth but I know he has take a place in God’s heaven. I pray we meet again Dave.
Love to Kathy, daughter and sons.
Sending my deepest condolences to you and your family, Cathy. I didn’t know Dave well but I’ll remember him as a very fine man indeed. My thoughts are with you all in this time of tremendous loss.

I have been blessed by knowing Dave and Cathy since we first met in church in Whitefish, MT. They warmly welcomed me into their home - introducing me to their friends and family as if I were family myself. I will never forget Dave's generosity. We share a love of antique vehicles and the outdoors. Rest In Peace my friend!

I was saddened today when I heard the news of David's passing. Our heartfelt condolences to Cathy family. I always looked forward to my visits with David when he stopped by the crews. In my early career, he always scheduled his visit at the end of the day when he knew the Recording Crew would be in so we could get a chance to talk. David loved to talk about Cathy and his family and his memories of growing up. Later on, seeing him at the office or at an industry event was always a welcomed break. David was one of the classy guys.
You will be missed, cousin. God's speed.
Carol and I would like to express our deepest condolences to Cathy and the Swagar family. One of the smartest decisions we ever made was convincing Dave to join Western Explosives. He brought instant credibility to the company and blessed us with his amazing enthusiasm and positivity. We had lot’s of fun together and I’m going to miss our conversations. I always felt better about myself and the world in general after spending time with Dave. His positiveness was infectious. He was such a classy guy. We were so lucky to have known him.
