Condolences
We send our sincere condolences to Ria and her family.
I worked for Mobil Oil in the Land Dept and remember Marv as a kind and helpful man with a wonderful memory. I would go for the occasional lunch with Mandy, Marv and Bill and we would have many discussions and lots of laughter. Over the years Iain met Marv and Ria at social gatherings.
We are so glad that Marv lived a good and full life and was able to do so much travelling, Rest In Peace Marv, you deserve it.

Our sincere condolences to Ria and family in the loss of Marvin. As his obituary reads, Marvin never let his MS condition define him. In that respect, Marvin was surly one of a kind. In his early career life with Mobil Oil Canada he participated in the company's curling league, and as recently as 2019 Marvin could be counted on to play bridge with Mobil Oil annuitants at the Horton Legion.
Arlene and Glen Johnston.
My deepest sympathy to Ria and family who lost their father and grandfather. I am Adrien's son and first cousin. Unfortunately, I don't recall meeting Marvin since I was eight when Uncle Clarence and his family moved to New Brunswick. But our Aunt Marjorie always kept us informed of his educational milestones and geological field trips, through stories or pictures.
I cherish the bound "Genealogical Journey" Marvin produced and sent me in 1999. I do my best to keep it up-to-date so that one day my son will carry on the tradition. I'm sure he spent a long time researching the book. Marvin wouldn't accept any money for the copy so I made a donation to the Heart and Stroke Fund. I shall make a donation to UC's kinesiology rehab program.
