Obituary of Angela Bernadette MacIntosh
September 7, 1924 - March 29, 2022
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Angela B. MacIntosh, (née Arseneau) of Calgary, AB, at the age of 97 years.
Born in Bathurst, NB to Frances and Wilfred Arseneau. Mom lived a beautiful, dignified life, a gentle woman of exquisite taste, she provided comfort and solace while asking little in return. She met her husband “Mac” in Chatham, NB (now Miramachi, NB) at a hockey game, and were married for 34 years. She was predeceased in death by her parents, her husband “Mac”, her sisters Rita, Evelyn, Leona, Christina, and brothers Leander, Aurele, Rene, Eric, and Cletus. She is survived by her children; daughter, Cindy (Mark) of Calgary, AB; sons, Wayne of Calgary, AB, Peter of Red Deer, AB and Stephen of Winnipeg, MB. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kim and Amy; one great-grandchild, Ivy; her sisters, Betty of Moncton, NB, Regina of Bathurst, NB; and brother, Jim (Anita) of Toronto, ON; as well as nieces and nephews, too many to mention.
Mom loved a good joke and was quite the jokester! She loved to make people laugh and always had a smile on her face. She cherished spending time with family and friends and had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She was very artistic and had a colourful life, with paint brush in hand she was very creative and designed beautiful oil, pen & ink and China paintings. Her love for knitting showed in her creations and were shared with everyone, the number of dolls she created are too many to count!
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
