Obituary of Pierre Joseph Eyma

EYMA, Pierre Joseph (Papa Jay)
April 13, 1937 - Calgary, Alberta
March 29, 2022 - Cochrane, Alberta

Papa’s Journey here on earth is now accomplished as Creator called him to his Heavenly Home on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 84. The Rays from Heaven shone brightly down, eagles circled overhead and newborn calves frolicked around with fresh new life!

Papa passed away while doing one of the things he loved best in life, helping animals in need, however sadly this time a tragic incident took him from us. We find comfort in knowing that he was surrounded by his animals on the land that he grew up on, doing what he loved. He flew gracefully up to Heaven on the wings of eagles and we know those who went before him were there to walk him the rest of the way Home. 

Papa worked hard all his life to be an amazing role model and was such a genuine humble man. He was an avid hunter and very proud to be a generational rancher in beautiful Jackass Canyon amongst the Wildcat Hills. In his leisure time he was a huge Calgary Flames and Stampeders fan.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Jayena (Wayde), Jayme (Lori), Jaynel (Danny), Jaylene (Myles), Benji, Chache and Bob; grandchildren, Kayley (Scott), Karnell (Shane), Kassidy (Lauren), Karson (Becky), Warren (Sonja), Jayson (Stephanie), Justin, Taylor (Jeff),  Calsi-Rae (Jeff), Alysha (Eli), Wyatt (Gaby), Alexis, Kaitlynn and Garrett; great-grandchildren, Nikyla, Jayley, Hunter, Cooper, Daxton, Dominic and Stetson.
He is also survived by his loving sister, Anita and her family, and so many extended family and friends that adored him. 

He was predeceased by his Soulmate and Love of his Life, Lynne (Mama); son Jayston, parents, Marie and Pierre; brother Clay,  and brother-in-law Newt.

Although we will miss him dearly having him here present in our lives, we rejoice for the abundance of good years and amazing memories we have been blessed to make with him.  He is now dancing in the sky with Mama and we will all look forward to our Heavenly reunion someday.
