Obituary of William (Bill) George McMahon

September 19, 1930 – Vancouver, British Columbia

April 1, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Bill McMahon, beloved husband of Brenda McMahon of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the age of 91 years.

Bill was born in Vancouver, BC to Isobel and Frank McMahon. He attended Brentwood College in Victoria, BC and Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He and Brenda were married in June 1985. Bill’s greatest passion was golf, he played in tournaments all over North America. Bill and Brenda travelled extensively.

Bill is survived by his sister Marion, and her three children, Grant, Murray, and Ligia; and numerous grandchildren, his son Michael; and his two children, Isabella and Christopher; his son Franklin, and his two children, Emerick and Astrid. He is also survived by his niece Diane and her partner MaryAnne; his great-nephew Frank and his daughter Alexis; as well as numerous cousins in Alberta and British Columbia. He will be sadly missed by Brenda’s large extended family, who loved him dearly. Bill was predeceased by his brother Frank, parents, and nephew, Frank McMahon.
