Obituary of Elena Di Napoli

Elena Di Napoli, beloved wife of the late Domenico Di Napoli, of Calgary, AB, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the age of 95 years.

Elena immigrated to Canada from Italy in December 1955, with three children to be reunited with her husband working for Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) where they continued to build their family and plant their roots. Elena enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

Elena is survived by her four sons, Francesco, Luigi, Marino, and Gerry of Calgary, AB; three daughters, Antonietta (Nicola) Urciuolo of Forino, Italy, Maria Valenti, and Cristina Di Napoli of Calgary, AB; eight grandchildren, Ciro and Antonello Urciuolo, Mathew, Mark, Tyler, Shawn, Shane, and Marina; and eleven great-grandchildren, Nicola, Davide, Michela, Andrea, Sophia, Adeline, Anthony, Myra, Alesha, Wolfgang, and Kenzie.

Besides her loving husband, Domenico, Elena was predeceased by her parents; mother, Lucrezia Di Rienzo; father, Felice Di Rienzo; and her two brothers, Gennaro and Mario.
