Obituary of Luisa Bussoli

February 13, 1927 – April 1, 2022

Luisa passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Francesco Paolo Bussoli.

Luisa was born in Fossacesia, Chieti, Italy. She immigrated with Francesco to Canada on December 5, 1953. She worked as a cook for the downtown Hudson’s Bay company and the City of Calgary, and received a Journeyman Cook Certificate in 1969 to add to her natural cooking and baking skills. She contributed many hours to the Italian community by helping to organize the Annual Italian Church Bake Sale and other Italian community events.

Luisa is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Adrian and Sue Bussoli, daughter and son-in-law Rosanna and Romel Francisco; grandchildren, Jon-Paul (Shannon), Michael (Claire), Gina (Joe), Ava, Nadia (Chad); great-grandchildren, Ethan, Cecilia, Gianluca, Alice, Isabella, Paxton, Oscar, Hugo, Lucia, and Stella.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at Mary, Mother Redeemer Catholic Church (1714 - 14 Avenue Northeast, Calgary, AB) on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with a viewing prior to the mass. To protect the health of family and friends, please practice social distancing, and masks are encouraged. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Bussoli's service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
