Condolences
Also, sad to see the obituary. Having lost contact with family for some time it is nice to see the messages. Moved to the coast and have only tried to find family in obituaries as Martha, Irvings aunt, passed sometime ago. She was the one to keep us all up
to date ! Airdire is the home of our youngest of nine....the rest in BC.......lovingly remembered - Barbara
I am so sorry & sad to come across Auntie Ruth's obituary. Although I have lost contact over the past few years, I often think of her and always remember her on her April 6th birthday. Over the years I always enjoyed my visits with her- no matter where or what the occasion - be it big or small; (or should I say "Huge" (aka Family reunions); or "Smaller" (gatherings of 40 or fewer) ..
Auntie Ruth always had a warm & welcoming smile, and was always interested in hearing about everyone's interests, activities etc. She had a calm, gentleness about her, but she also had a bit of an "impish feistiness" that would occasionally surface, which I loved!
So many happy memories - so much laughter, love and of course some tears along the way.
Auntie Ruth, you will be missed by so many; but I know so many have missed you and have been waiting with open arms .... I'm sure Coffee is on......... Rest in Peace.
My sincere condolences Carol, Greg & Linda, Deb & Darrell, Doug, Vicky & Richard & your families; and to all the Sanden nieces, nephews & their families. Love from our Sanden family - Brenda, Greg & Michelle, Andrea & Daryl, Krista & Matt, Brianne & Mike
Auntie Ruth was a lovely and grand lady. While I haven't seen her for years I still have a picture in my mind of her twinkle and her mannerisms. It was always a highlight of our summer to come to family reunions at the Irving Sanden's near Cochrane. We stayed overnight in our tent trailer. I remember my Dad and Mom and all of us were so happy for that holiday. What a wonderful legacy and Auntie Ruth the last of a generation of Sanden's now gone. Carry the torch my cousins. All our love, Wendy and Richard
Mrs Sanden was a really classy lady. I remember going out to the Sanden’s farm once for a family gathering. Although Mrs Sanden had well over 80 guests that day, she was calm, cool and collected. Watching her walk from person to person, giving individual attention to each of her guests made a lasting impression on me! I also admired both Mr and Mrs Sanden for their parenting and their relationship with one another. May they now Rest In Peace together

My memory of Ruth was at the bridge table. She was a great bridge player and a wonderful, kind person. Our sincere condolences to the family as I know she will be greatly missed.

Heartfelt thoughts to Ruth's family & friends. Such a lovely lady who you will all miss so much. So many beautiful memories of her long life to cherish. We so enjoyed meeting her at Deb & Darrell's wedding.
I remember getting a hug and a smile every time we saw each other. I remember how proud she was of her family. I remember talking to her and feeling like my words were important to her. I remember warmth, sweetness, calmness, and a little bit of joy in almost anything she would do. You are missed Grama/Great Grama!
My Grandmother was such a beautiful woman, inside and out. Growing up and staying with her many times on the Cochrane farm, I remember her being strict, but fair. She made wonderful breakfasts with perfect soft boiled eggs every time, and Grandpa's leftover potatoes from the night before. More recently when I would visit her in Airdrie, I was always compelled to give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, but I always forgot about her hearing aid, which would squeal when my face touched hers, but she never complained about it, just giving me her warm smile and a sincere thank you. You will be missed Grandma. I love you.
