Obituary of Yvonne Marie Mackenzie

August 31, 1937 – Regina, Saskatchewan

April 7, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

We are sad to announce that Yvonne Mackenzie passed away at home on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) and her parents Ernie and Sophie Sjoden of Stoughton, Saskatchewan. Yvonne is survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Ron Burwash, her nieces Karin Langdon and Leslie (Bruce) Jackson and her nephew Brad (Jen) Burwash and their respective families including ten grand- nieces and grand-nephews.

Yvonne worked at PanCanadian until her retirement in 1993. After retirement she and Bob moved to High River where they enjoyed golfing and winter vacations to the sunny south. Yvonne’s many friends will smile when they remember her humour and spunky attitude.

Yvonne loved the Flames and the Blue Jays, trying never to miss a televised game and she always enjoyed the companionship of her little dogs.

As per Yvonne’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here. Special thanks to John Tohill for being a kind and helpful neighbour; not to forget the generosity and hospitality of Leah and Jay Donald and their family.
