Cary Goddu

Obituary of Cary James Goddu

October 31, 1979 - Shaunavon, Saskatchewan

April 8, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Cary Goddu, beloved husband of Nicole Goddu (nee Harvey), of Calgary, Alberta, passed away from a brain aneurysm on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the age of 42 years.

Initially set up on a blind date by a mutual acquaintance, Cary and Nicole quickly became friends, and were eventually married on    April 1, 2010. After having just spent their 12th wedding anniversary at home, Cary and Nicole have 16 years of countless memories together.

To say that Cary accomplished much through his life, is an understatement.

Cary was particularly proud of becoming a father to both Hailey and Lilliana. Cary knew the true meaning of family first. He prided himself on being there for his girls. His family was his world.

Cary was determined to be the husband that came home every night to cook for his family. He was always finding ways to be creative in the kitchen, making new recipes and waiting to see that smile of approval for the feast he had just prepared.

Cary is a talented man, a master of many skills. If he didn’t know something, he accepted the challenge and figured it out. Cary is extremely clever, a man of brilliance, with an intellectual mind and a thirst for knowledge. Often playing the devils advocate, he was passionate for open discussion and debate.

Cary is a man of great strength, a true pillar in the family. Cary is an altruistic man. He is a man of integrity, generosity, and humility. Cary will forever be known as the one we counted on, the one who protected us, a legend in our eyes!

Cary never asked for a thing; however, he will expect that each of us work hard everyday, take pride in our accomplishments, and find ways to believe in ourselves. Remember that family is everything. Forgiveness is what we do. Know, we all make mistakes, and that is okay. Continue to thrive, and you’ll surprise even yourself!

Famous Cary quote: “We got this babe, No one is stronger than us!”

We will forever remember Cary for his marvelous wit, his sarcastic sense of humour, his infectious laugh, and his terrible dad jokes!

Cary leaves this world a true hero!
