MaryAnn Mitchell, 54, of Calgary, AB, passed away Tuesday April 12, 2022, at 3:58pm, with her beloved family by her side.

She was born to the late Reino (Ray), and Emillia (Milly) Niskanen on December 12th, 1967, in Port Arthur, Ontario. She was married to Daniel Greenwood in Puerto Vallarta, on April 3, 2004.

MaryAnn is survived by her daughters, Loranna-Lyn G., Kaitlyn G., and Kelly M., as well as her brother, Jack N., and her nephew, Dan M.

MaryAnn was a wonderful mother, who loved planting, baking, and large family meals and gatherings. She especially loved Christmas and enjoyed decorating the house for family festivities.

She enjoyed traveling; she spent time in Las Vegas, Antigua, Bahamas, Bali, Mexico, and Cuba to name a few. From each place she went with family, she would gather sand, with her husband Daniel, to add to her collection.

Mary Ann was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Throughout her life, you would often hear her say the following quotes:

“Make sure you dot your i’s and cross your t’s.”

“You do you”

“I’m your mom, it’s kind of my job. It’s in the book.”

“Where’s my Lipsol?”

“There is a time and a place for everything.”

The family will be having a celebration of life in June; more details will be announced closer to the date.
