Obituary of Carol Margaret Nadraszky

July 17, 1943 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

April 22, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Carol Nadraszky of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the ripe old age of 78 years. As was fitting for her life, she was surrounded by family and friends.

Carol was born on July 17, 1943, in Saskatoon, SK and grew up in Biggar. After graduating from high School Carol Moved to Vancouver and went to Nursing school, becoming a Practical Nurse in 1963 which led to her meeting Bill Nadraszky, and after a whirlwind romance they were married in 1963.

Always the busy lady, Bill and Carol opened an auto body shop naming it Chaffer Motors, after Carol’s father and she kept the books balanced and the lights on. She gave birth to three wonderful kids Bill, Shari, and Grant Nadraszky all born in Richmond, BC. Soon after Carol and Bill closed the body shop in 1988 Carol decided to reinvent herself again, this time becoming a successful Realtor in Richmond. She enjoyed baking and always brought her realtor friends lots of home-made treats at Christmas.

Later after the kids had mostly left home Carol and Bill Moved to Calgary to be closer to their first grandchild Brianne Vanderkuip, daughter of Carol and Bill's daughter Shari and her husband Jamie Vanderkuip. Soon after Carol’s and Bill's son Bill and his wife Michelle had a daughter of their own Taylor Nadraszky, followed by Shari and Jamie's son Brendan Vanderkuip, and finally Michelle and Bill had a son Jaiden Nadraszky. As soon as Carol and Bill moved to Calgary Carol got her Real Estate license and continued her Real Estate career until finally retiring in 2020.

Carol’s husband Bill Nadraszky passed away in Calgary in 2014 soon after they had celebrated over 50 years of marriage together. Over the last few years her son grant visited almost every Saturday making her dinner. Pizza or some yummy pasta dishes that she so enjoyed.

Many remember her infectious smile and always laughing. Carol is also remembered for her industriousness, her friendliness and always caring for others, and especially for giving her opinion to her kids and grandkids whether they asked for it or not. Always sweet, Carol always asked everyone how things were with them and never wanted to burden anyone with her troubles.
