Obituary of Ella Zarkow

Ella Zarkow (nee Tuff) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Holy Cross Manor in Calgary, AB at the age of 92 years.  She was an avid walker that could be seen just about anywhere in Calgary visiting family and friends.  She also enjoyed knitting and reading into the wee hours of the morning.  Ella was a member of Cambrian Heights Baptist Church where she participated in Women’s weekly bible study and church choir. Her greatest love was her husband and family.

Ella is survived by her two daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia and Scott MacKay of Blackfalds, AB, and Johnette and Lawrence Baldwin of Calgary, AB; six grandchildren, Shawn, Cory, Neil, Jason, Brandy, and Brittany; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

Ella was predeceased by her loving husband Donald Zarkow, daughter Diane Kerr, mother Isabelle, father Albert, and brothers Allan, John, and Cam Tuff.

At Ella’s request, no Funeral services will be held.  Her cremated remains will be spread with her husband in Kananaskis, AB, and at her mother’s gravesite in Lethbridge, AB.

A very special thank you to Dr. Loo and all the amazing staff at Holy Cross Manor.  The last 8 years of her life were treated with warmth, care, and dignity.
