Obituary of Arnulfo Baniqued Tayaban
July 1, 1967 – Rosario, La Union, Philippines
April 29, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Arnulfo Tayaban, of Calgary, AB, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at the age of 54 years.
Arnulfo was born in Rosario, La Union, Philippines. He was a very loving Papa to his children and a dedicated husband to his wife.
On March 7, 2006, Arnulfo moved to Canada. During his time in Canada, he was always teaching, caring, and playing with his two children, Jason and Julienne. He enjoyed the outdoors, nature, and hiking in the Kananaskis Country. He loved driving around visiting places in AB and B.C. Arnulfo would watch the annual Calgary Stampede Parade with his wife and children and stroll inside the concession grounds. He was a great handyman teaching his son, Jason, to build pergolas, flowerpots, and uniformly unique fence decors. He even showed him how to install hardwood floorings in their family room.
Arnulfo devoted all his life by sharing anything and generously helped his family and friends in their time of need. He was the chef at home and his wife, children, friends and relatives loved every dish he cooked. Arnulfo also liked gardening and many outdoor activities like hiking, nature tripping, and going on picnics.
Arnulfo was a faithful husband to his wife Flynn Macario from their happy marriage of 18 years. Arnulfo will be lovingly missed and remembered by his son, Jason and daughter Julienne of whom he loved dearly. Arnulfo is also survived by parents Glicerio Tayaban Sr. and Gregoria Tayaban; siblings, Joseph Tayaban, Ma.Elena Lacangan, Donato Tayaban, Glicerio Jr., and Melani Dimalanta of the Philippines.
A Visitation will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, May 8, 2022, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Tayaban’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
A Funeral Mass will be held will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive Southeast, Calgary, AB) on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
