Obituary of Elmer Allan Sweitzer

December 1, 1927- Lumdsen, Saskatchewan

May 2, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

 

It is with great sadness that the family of Elmer Sweitzer announce his passing on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the age of 94 years.

 

Born in Saskatchewan, he came to call Calgary his home and settled in Bowness in 1956 – raising four boys and enjoying a long career with the Alberta Government. His love of cars and mechanics fueled his days as well as his passion for building, fixing and tinkering.

 

Elmer is survived by his four sons, Rod, Gary, Rick Arnold and Steve Arnold; as well as four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Anne Innis of Ontario and nephews and nieces. Elmer was predeceased by his wife, Helen Karst in 2009.
