Obituary of Doris May Nickerson

February 19, 1959 – Trail, British Columbia

April 30, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta

Doris Nickerson, beloved mother of Crystal, Alana, Rebecca Nickerson, and Kali Farris-Billyard, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the age of 63 years.

Doris was born in Trail, BC, on February 19, 1959, and later moved to Calgary, AB, in 1977. Doris married Alan Nickerson in 1982. After a divorce in the 90s, Doris dedicated her life to raising three beautiful daughters.

Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, puzzles, knitting and game shows to pass the time.

Doris will most be remembered for her outstanding personality, sense of humour, the way she could always make anyone smile, her hard work, dedication, selflessness, her love for animals, especially cats, and the love and light she brought to every room she entered.

Doris is survived by her four daughters and two sons-in-law, Kali of Calgary, AB, Crystal Caroline, Alana (Mathieu) of Calgary, AB, and Rebecca (Dustin) of Medicine Hat, AB; five grandchildren, Samantha of Red Deer, AB, Stephen of Mt Pearl NL, Bradley, Sonya, and Eathan of Caroline, AB; and one great-grandchild, Jhonathan.

Doris is also survived by her two brothers, Ken Campbell (Laura) of Nanaimo, BC, and Bruce Campbell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
