Obituary of Grace Gardiner Fraser

On May 3, 2022, Grace passed away peacefully after a long, healthy and happy life. She was born in Woodstock, NB on Jan 6, 1918. Colin and Grace married in 1947 and shared 52 wonderful years. Scotiabank transferred them from coast to coast across the country making good friends and lasting memories. Grace was an elegant, artistic lady who loved to entertain, sing and dance, paint, curl, play golf, bridge, and the ukulele! She was independent and fun-loving, indeed “Amazing Grace”.

Grace will be missed by her son Cameron (Jane), daughter Nancy (Andrew); six grandchildren, Kimberly (Shaun) Hoey and their sons, Haddon, Holden and Hudson; Kristi (Tyson) McKay and their daughters, Maeve and Clara; Fraser (Lori) Wiswell and their children, Sadie, Gavin and Austin; Curtis Fraser, Ainsley (Riley) Ohler and their children, Rhett, Emery and Asher; Graham (Larissa) Wiswell and their daughter Goldie. She was predeceased by her loving husband Colin and her great-grandson Colin.

From a family of 2 to 27, she will be missed by all!

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (703 Heritage Drive S.W, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Donations in Grace’s honour may be made to a charity of choice. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
