Obituary of Darnell “ONETYME” Robert Many Heads

June 10, 1987 – Calgary - April 30, 2022
(34 Years Old)

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Darnell Robert Many Heads announce his sudden passing on April 30, 2022, in Calgary, AB.

Darnell was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, AB and lived in the city the majority of his life with his mom and siblings. He lived with his grandma Cecilia in Siksika while attending his junior high school years at the Siksika Nation High School. Darnell was the youngest of Arlene’s children and the oldest of Horton’s children.

Prior to Darnell’s passing he was employed as a roofer in the construction industry; previously he worked for his uncle, Daryl Jerace, as a drywaller and with his cousin, Cody Jerace, who he took as a brother.

Darnell’s favorite pasttimes were singing, poetry and playing basketball. He would record his music on YouTube under the name “OneTyme” and would write his poetry when he could. He played a game of basketball with whoever he met up with and in his younger years he would be seen walking around with a basketball. Darnell was a member of the Siksika Junior High School Eagles basketball team.

Darnell will be remembered for his smiling face, friendliness, and humble nature, even through his trying times. His grandma, Cecilia, named him “Smiling Jack”. We will miss Darnell very much but knowing that he is united with family he missed so much gives us peace.
