Lorna Lisa Amos was called home by our Creator on Monday May 9, 2022 at the age of 43 years.

 

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, great-aunt, sister-in-law, adopted sister and friend.

 

Lorna was born April 10, 1979, she was the sixth generation of Chief Jacob Bearspaw, she was the daughter of spiritual pipe holder and mentor her beloved parents, Dandy and Greta Amos, well-known grandparents, Dick and Julia Amos.

 

She grew up loving and living yethka traditional way of life and lived it through out her life. Lorna’s life was loving her family, and she will be lovingly remembered for her selflessness, kind heart, honestly, and integrity. Although we will deeply miss her and her unconditional love, we take comfort in a lifetime of fond memories.

 

Lorna is survived by her children, Danreta, Barry Jr., Margaret, Aarry, and Toby; her grandchildren, Markus, Nakoa, Rick, Danita, and Atreus; and the father of her children, Barry House. Lorna is also survived by her siblings, Jolie, Ian (Lawanda), Aimee, Laura (Murphy) Padqet, Dan, Eric, Joni (Eric H.), and, special sister, Evelina Amos, Lisa Powderface; adopted mother Adele James, Virgina Hunter; special nephews, Deldan (Faith) Crawler and Dre; special grandson, Benson Crawler; nephews, Dominic, Evander, Blaze, Uriah, Kawhi, Dacster Jr. (Adam) Dennis, Dyson, Wayne, and Kirk; Nieces, Ealianah, Katie (Chivez), Brianna, Niki Sky, Brandy, Brandelina, Aimliey, Anna, Taylor, Easton, Kenedi, Shaylee, and Juliette; cousins, Victoria, Betty, Arlene Paul, Cornelia, Victoria Amos, Dacster (Latoya), Andrew, Nicholas, and Bryce; adopted brothers, Chris (Tinena), Clifford Jr. (Josette), Aaron Young, and Frank (Tracy) Powderface; special friends, Corinna, and Tammy Dixon; adopted sisters, Wyo and Rachel Powderface; aunties, Retha Hunter, Angelina (Carlos) Hunter, Daisy Twoyoungmen, Linda Rabbit, and Viola Dixon.


Lorna was predeceased by her parents, Dandy (Greta) Amos; grandparents, Dick (Julia) Amos, Elijah (Jenny) Hunter, and Murray (Hazel) Hunter; grandfathers, Adolphus Hunter, Albert Amos, and Adolphus Weaselchild; grandmothers, Grace Hunter, Libby Hunter, Eva Labelle, Daisy Hunter, Eliza Holloway, Alice (Arthur) Twoyoungmen, May Amos, and Winnie Frances; uncles, Richard Amos, Wilfred (Caroline) Amos, Dewight, and Ricky Labelle, Scottie Labelle, Casey Labelle, and Byron Labelle; aunties, Betty Hunter, Wanda Hunter and Victoria; adopted aunty, Victoria Mark, and Brenda Goodstoney; brothers, Andre Amos, and Gregory; step-sister, Ranee Hunter; half-sister, Florette Rabbit; nieces, Kenqel Amos, and Lanicia Hunter; cousins, Wilfred Jr., Fred Amos, Junior and John; nephew, Bradcus Amos; uncle, Sam (Pauline) Paul; brother-in-law Bradley Holloway. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Lorna's late parents Dandy and Greta Amos (Morley, AB) on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at Bearspaw Youth Centre (Morley, AB) on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery (Morley, AB).
