Obituary of Beulah May Tutt

November 30, 1932 - London, Ontario

May 11, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Beulah May Tutt (nee Galloway), beloved wife of David W. Tutt, of Calgary, AB, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, after a lengthy illness.

Beulah was born in London, ON, on November 30, 1932, and grew up in Brantford, ON, moving to AB, shortly after her marriage to David in 1956. From their first home in a skid shack in Drayton Valley to her favourite house on Willow Park Green, Beulah enjoyed home decor and spent many hours perfecting the finishing touches in all the rooms in her home, many of which included a nod to her favourite colour pink.

Beulah was an accomplished and flawless hand sewn quilter and was a Calgary Stampede Handicrafts award winner for her decorated baskets. In her later years, she knit over 1,000 wool hats for Inn From the Cold; as well as for many family members. Beulah’s happiest times were days spent surrounded by family and friends, especially the years spent at Poipu Beach, Kauai. She also enjoyed the many long-time friends she met through Beta Sigma Phi, quilting groups, bridge clubs, SPEE, and David’s oil and gas colleagues.

Besides her beloved husband of 66 years David W. Tutt, Beulah is survived by her children, Cindy (Greg), Nancy, Ken (Sherry), and Bob (Susan); her eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and brother John (Rosemary) Galloway of Brantford, ON. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Ken, Bud (Ruth) and Bob (Wilma); and one sister Betty (Ted) Varon.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Tutt’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
